  I attended the State of the City address held on Tuesday, March 6 at NexusPark. The evening comprised of Mayor Mary Ferdon giving her remarks followed by a ribbon-cutting in the field house. One of the things the mayor talked about was the need for a new animal shelter. Plans are currently being revised to bring down construction costs. I serve on the Animal Care Commission.
